The project
I had dreamed of it, you have certainly dreamed of it, I believe that everyone dreams of it. To feel free to go to New Zealand for 1 year with a blank sheet of paper and everything to write down is an incredible opportunity. I have never regretted having left France since I have been there, and I give thanks to Heaven every morning for this wonderful adventure that I have been given to live. This adventure is that of building a man, a son, a brother, a friend, a godfather, a future husband. We always need education, but the difference between the adult and the child is that the adult must know how to educate himself. Through this journey, I seek in myself where I am strong, and where I am not. I want to get out of my comfort zone, put myself in trouble and see how I react. Like an initiation rite before entering life, I want to get to know myself. This project animated me for a few months, but I did not feel able to make the decision. I wrote a lot about my aspiration, and three verbs came out of it. The very people who guide my mission today. Serve, explore, witness.
Serveis the most beautiful of vocations and we are all called to it, each in our own way. With the notion of service comes that of giving. It is a matter of making the talents we have received freely available to a person or a community, in order to make them bear fruit for the good of others. As part of my mission in New Zealand, my main work is farming, gardening, building renovations, and whatever my hosts may need. I carry out these tasks for people who agree to house and feed me in exchange for this, which is equivalent to four or five hours of work per day. In the time I have left, I find a mission in the place where I am which is a real volunteering. This may be to visit isolated people and families, to offer small workshops in retirement homes, to animate activities for a school or a children's center, or simply to garden for people who lack time around the house. city. Each place where I put my suitcases has a new surprise in store for me!
Explorea country means making yourself fully available and open to its culture, its activities, its climate, its landscapes, its inhabitants. The history of New Zealand swings between the indigenous Maori tribes and the European populations of colonization. This complexity attracted me, and I am not disappointed! I was lucky to be accepted by these people on the other side of the world, which is why I am learning (step by step) to speak like them and to impress myself.hold on to their traditions. New Zealandmoor est egalso rich in a great diversity of landscapes, which takes me from the Shire to Mordor. Several great hikes are ranked among the most beautiful in the world, and believe me, I won't miss it! These will take me from Mount Taranaki to Milford Sound, through the national parks that maintain these treasures. The fauna and flora are also very different from what can be found in Europe. Populating an island, this nature has many endemic and protected species that are really interesting to study, whether it's the kiwi (it's a bird) or the kauri (it's a tree). It seems beauty will save the world, so let's get it! Finally, the fact remains that New Zealand is particularly fond of extreme sports, I think I chose my destination well...
Testimonialner primarily refers to the notion of example. During my adventure, I want to show that one can take a different path from the morality of bread and games, to live one's youth other than through UberEats and Netflix. In front of the people I meet, I want to be the one who has a taste for great things, who seeks to build himself in order to be able to give himself entirely. I want this rage to accomplish to express itself furiously. Show that life burns, ca itchy, that it can eyouD sweet too, but you have to feel alive. Testifying is also the most important mission of the Christian in the world since Pentecost. Even if one often feels illegitimate to offer one's testimony, there is no better exercise for this than the act of witnessing itself. We all have something in our lives to share, and people around us with whom to share it. This year, I wish to show by my way of being and of living the love that God has for each of the people whose path I cross. Because it is one of the ways of holiness, and we are all called to be holy.
