My name is Montfort de Foucauld, born in Vendée about twenty years ago. I am the eldest of 8 siblings, and my family lives in Le Puy en Velay. I love sports, especially rock climbing and running. I love exploration, in Paris I am rarely at level 0, that is to say you can find me either on the heights of Haussmannian roofs or in the depths of stone quarries. I like adventure, going into the unknown, testing lots of new activities and meeting people. In fact, I'm a bit sanguine, in love with last-minute plans and everything that doesn't go as planned.
Despite this, I cannot deny my first and natural tendency to be phlegmatic. I like to be seated, to read the same comic book 4 times in the evening, I like big armchairs and chimney fires, great evening discussions and gazing at the stars. I'm sort of an ex-reserved, I got over my shyness by stepping out of my comfort zone, but believe me, I love coming back to it. I like the intimacy of the family circle, the rainy days when you don't go out, and the board games that end late. I am diligent, I like spending time on what excites me, doing things the best I can. I like the routine, the one that sets a framework for life, but I'm not always organized.
Over time, I became more and more resourceful. Not that I was completely dependent before, but I didn't dare go to the other. And then, I hosted café-philo in EHPADs, I delivered logs to the four corners of Paris, and was responsible for an associative bar where we served our own beer. I like to be involved in projects that are close to my heart. I participated in the BDE of the IPC, I was promotion president, I sang with the Pilgrims of Hope in Ste Cécile, I went for more than a month with friends in St Omer in confinement missionary.

In the midst of all this, my greatest commitment is that of faith. It is the tool that will be most useful to me this year, given that my project is placed directly under the sign of divine Providence. The very idea of this mission is moreover the sign of this abandonment, and when the trials arise, I will be convinced of one thing at least, and that is that He is there. And it was this conviction that made little Thérèse of Lisieux say on her deathbed: “All is grace”.
